What a wine! Towering and vertical in its bearing, the 2019 is a total stunner. There is plenty of Lynch Bages charm, but what distinguishes the 2019 most is its spine of tannin and energy. Time in the glass brings out sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange and pomegranate and mint. The 2019 is a great, great, great Lynch Bages. It reminds me of the epic 1989, but with the youthful grip of this vintage. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's a deep, multidimensional wine built around a chassis of rich, powdery tannins and succulent balancing acids. The last vintage produced in Lynch-Bages old winery, it will be interesting to compare this benchmark wine with subsequent vintages over the coming years.

Picked from September 12 to October 9 and matured in 60% new oak, it has a gorgeous, seductive bouquet of pure blackberry, bilberry, crushed iris petals and just a hint of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and good cohesion and depth. The oak is seamlessly integrated on the finish, which lingers like a temptress. Two samples tasted, the second demonstrating a little more salinity on the aftertaste. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, sweet loamy soil and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and layered, with superb concentration, lively acids and rich, powdery tannins. Perfumed and resonant, this is a profound young Pauillac that bears more of a resemblance to its neighbor Ch?teau Latour than to Pichon Lalande this year. Pichon Baron was one of the great deals of the en primeur campaign, and readers who purchased futures are to be congratulated on their foresight. The numbers speak for themselves: until 2000, Pichon-Longueville Baron produced some 350,000 bottles per year; since 2001, that figure has fallen to 160,000. Managing director Christian Seely's first decision on arriving at the property was to reduce production, focusing the grand vin on Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the deep gravel terraces opposite Ch?teau Latour that have always been the heart of this historic estate and which were the source of the great duo of 1989 and 1990 before being joined by other holdings after a series of acquisitions in the early 1990s. The results speak for themselves in the form of a series of excellent vintages, and things improved further with the construction of a new barrel cellar in 2006, permitting better temperature control and more precision during ?levage. In style, Pichon Baron these days has more in common stylistically with the depth and structure of Latour than it does with the perfumed sensuality of its sibling, Pichon Lalande; and in quality, it's clearly one of contemporary Bordeaux's greatest wines. It's hard to know whether 2010, 2016 or 2019 will emerge as the best Pichon Baron of the decade?and of Seely's tenure up to the time of writing?but what is certain is that the 2019 is a striking wine that any Bordeaux lover would want to have in their cellar. It will spend 18 months in a mix of new and used barrels. Classic Barton notes of cassis, scorched earth, burning embers, new leather, and violets emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, massively concentrated, and structured on the palate, yet it has a beautiful elegance as well as a plushness in its texture. Nevertheless, it's not for those seeking instant gratification and is going to need 10-15 years of bottle age to hit maturity. It reminds me of the 1990 and is a great, great wine in the making. Today, Leoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Leoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago.       たゆまぬ努力によって、アペラシオンを見事に表現！ ローランが目指した本来のムルソーとは… ローラン・ポンソでは白ワインには花の名前がキュヴェ名に付けられています。パンドレアは、白の美しい花が咲きます。ムルソーはドメーヌ・ポンソ時代には造られておらず、ローラン・ポンソとして初めて手掛けたキュヴェ。 「ムルソーはこの25年間、いつも飲みたくないワインで、樽の影響が強いカリフォルニアのシャルドネのようなものが多かった。樽の影響を受けない、本来のムルソーを表現したかった」というローラン。（ワインレポートより抜粋） ローラン・ポンソでは、白ワインの古樽を所有していなかったので、新樽に塩を刷り込んで、熱湯に15分間漬ける昔ながらの方法でリンスしたそうです。そうすることにより、新樽の影響がワインの味わいに影響せずに済むそうです。 このような努力によってローラン好みの美しい仕上がりとなっているムルソー。 LAURENT PONSOT MEURSAULT CUVEE DU PANDOREA ローラン・ポンソ ムルソー キュヴェ・デュ・パンドレア 生産地：フランス ブルゴーニュ コート・ド・ボーヌ ムルソー 原産地呼称：AOC.       ローラン・ポンソの「こだわり」が詰まったネゴシアン。 「ローラン・ポンソ」として、これまで以上に力を入れているというACブルゴーニュ!! 2017年2月、ローラン・ポンソが36年間携わったドメーヌ・ポンソを離れ、その直後の同年4月に、ネゴシアン「ローラン・ポンソ社」を立ち上げた。オフィスは、ジリー・レ・シトー村の産業地区に構え、このオフィス裏とコルゴロワンに熟成用の設備や、畑作業用の機器置場をもつ。2018年1月には愛息のクレメンが当主に着任している。 ワインは、ローラン自身とクルチエのネットワークから質の高いブドウを購入して造られる。ブドウ、圧搾果汁、発酵果汁の状態で購入するが、まれにごく初期の樽に入った状態ものも含まれ、収穫直後できる限り早くセラーに持ち込まれる。ワインになった完成品の状態や瓶詰直前のものを購入することは絶対にしない。また、ローランがドメーヌ・ポンソの頃から所有していた畑もあり、ローラン・ポンソ社が形式的にブドウを買い取る形で醸造する。 「ブルゴーニュ・ブラン キュヴェ・デュ・パルス・ネージュ」は、ローラン・ポンソでは白ワインには花の名前がキュヴェ名に付けられています。パルス・ネージュ＝「雪の花／スノードロップ」という意味で、2月から3月に花を咲かせるため、春の訪れを告げる花として知られているようです。 やさしく、エレガントな気品ある味わいが広がります。 ローラン氏曰く、「グランクリュやヴィラージュを造るのは簡単。ブルゴーニュACがチャレンジングなんだ」と語るように、最も下位のクラスから妥協のない造りで、ポンソ時代を彷彿とさせるスタイル！ 美しい白のブルゴーニュの色は、淡いゴールドで、時折シルバーイエローのハイライトが入る。サンザシの花、甘草、レモン、新鮮なブドウの香りに、スイカズラ、洋ナシ、ブリオッシュ、ヨード、マジパン、ナッツ、桃、パイナップルの暖かいニュアンスが特徴的です。味わいは肉厚でフルーティ、フレッシュで塩味の効いた細身のフィニッシュで、甘草やエキゾチックフルーツのアロマが感じられます。 白ブルゴーニュのフレッシュさとフルーティなしなやかさは、新鮮で香ばしいタパスとともにアペリティフに、あるいはハーブ入りソフト卵、エビとフレッシュチーズを詰めたマッシュルームとチャイブ、魚のロースト、野菜のローストとフェタチーズ、ほうれん草とリコッタのラビオリなどとともにブランチに、完璧な相性を見せてくれる。 そしてもちろんこのワインは、グジェール、カタツムリ、霜降りハムなどのブルゴーニュ料理と忠実に相性が良いのです。 LAURENT PONSOT BOURGOGNE BLANC CUVEE DU PERCE NEIGE ローラン・ポンソ ブルゴーニュ・ブラン キュヴェ・デュ・パルス・ネージュ 生産地：フランス ブルゴーニュ 原産地呼称：AOC.
