DRC Montrachet元栽培責任者の手がける新世代トップ・ブルゴーニュ! シャサーニュ村トップのひとつだった父ベルナール・モレから2007年に畑を譲り受け、瞬く間に頭角を現したトマ･モレ。父や、カリフォルニアで最新の醸造を学ぶなど研鑽を積んできました。 その卓越した感性と才能にいち早く着目したのがDRC(ドメーヌ・ド・ラ・ロマネ・コンティ)当主オベール・ド・ヴィレーヌ氏。トマは自らのドメーヌと並行して2007年～2009年迄DRCモンラッシェの栽培責任者を担当し､その類まれなる才能を如何なく発揮しました。自分のドメーヌに集中する為､3年でその職を退きましたが､ここでの経験は何物にも替えがたい素晴らしいものだったと語っています。 彼のワインは恵まれたテロワールの素晴らしさを最大限に活かし､得られる全ての要素を余すところなく表現した見事な造り。確かな知識に裏打ちされた巧みな造りと天性とも言えるその優れた感性との融合から生まれるワインは他の追随を許しません。栽培は以前からビオロジックを実践していましたが､いくつかの畑では既にビディナミへ移行済です。DRCで働いていた時に実践していた全く同じ栽培法を取り入れており､さらなる高みへと登り続けているのです。 「シャサーニュ・モンラッシェ 1er レ・ザンブラゼ」は、フィロキセラ危機後、放置されていたが、彼の祖父アルベール・モレによって50年代後半に改めて栽培が行われ、現存するブドウの樹は1961年植樹されたものとなる。レ・ザンブラゼのほとんどはモレ家が所有している。5.1930haのうち、ヴァンサン・エ・ソフィ・モレが4.25ha所有し、トマ・モレは0.75ha所有している。 非常に緩やかな傾斜のある丘陵地は、化石が豊富で浅い、非常に石の多い赤土でできており、水が容易にろ過できる貧弱で砕けやすい岩の上に乗っています。このような石の多い土壌は、石が太陽の熱をより多く取り込むため、非常に高温になります。そのため、「les Embrazees」「Embraser、embrasement、火、熱に関係する」という名前の由来となっています。 このテロワールのワインは非常にアロマティックで、1年目から楽しむことができます。白い花や新鮮な白い果実の非常にデリケートな香りが、時間の経過とともに広がっていきます。非常に心地よく、程よい凝縮感があり、5年目以降に飲むのに最適なワインですが、ヴィンテージによってはもっと長く熟成させることもできます。 ■テクニカル情報■ 畑面積：0.75ha DOMAINE THOMAS MOREY CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET 1er LES EMBRAZEES ドメーヌ・トマ・モレ シャサーニュ・モンラッシェ プルミエ・クリュ レ・ザンブラゼ 生産地：フランス ブルゴーニュ コート・ド・ボーヌ シャサーニュ・モンラッシェ 原産地呼称：AOC. CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET ぶどう品種：シャルドネ 100% 味わい：白ワイン 辛口 ■2018ヴィンテージについて■ AMZ 営業担当 訪問レポート 2019年9月3日 当主に迎えていただき、お話を伺い、2018年の試飲をさせて頂いた。 2018年は8月28日に収穫をおこなった。 ヴィンテージの特徴は猛暑があったけど雨の降るタイミングが良かったそうで最高に良く出来たそう。 2018年はピュアでそれぞれのテロワールの個性が出ているそう。 自身は2017年より2018年の方が好みだそう。 試飲を始めて驚いたのはどのキュヴェも酸が非常に綺麗で洗練された印象を受けた。 綺麗な酸の理由を問うたところ収穫のタイミングを見極めたから。とのこと。 ACブルゴーニュ シャルドネは2022年くらいから飲んでもらいたいそう。 CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET 1ER CRU LES EMBRAZEES 2018 フレッシュでミネラリー。そして、リッチ。アンブラゼはボーディーヌより早飲みタイプ。 余韻は長く、ピュアなフルーツ感。酸もキレイ。 トマモレの訪問を終えて、やはりトマモレが大人気である理由が分かった。 2018年という日照量に恵まれた年だが、過熟感はまったくなく、極めて上質でエレガント。 超豊作年だったらしく、1982年以来の収量とのこと。例年50hlのところ、2018年は55hl。入荷が非常に楽しみ。 Domaine THOMAS MOREYトマ・モレトマモレ トーマス・モレ トーマスモレ

レオヴィル三兄弟とも呼ばれるグラン・クリュ第2級のシャトー。 メドック格付け2級。ポワフェレ男爵がラス カーズ家との婚姻により取得し、この名が付きました。レオヴィル三兄弟と呼ばれ、格付けシャトーの中でも人気の高いワインです。80haを所有し、3つのレオヴィルの中でも特に多様な土壌に恵まれています。他二つにくらべメルロの比率が高く、その分早くから楽しめる傾向があります。 シャトー・レオヴィルの歴史は1638年まで遡ります。いく度の遺産分割・相続をへて、1840年現在のレオヴィル・ポワフェレが誕生。1855年にはメドックのワインを対象とした格付が作成され、ポワフェレは栄えある第2級の認定を受けました。ほまれ高きアペラシオン・サンジュリアンに位置し、多様な礫質のテロワールを有するそのブドウ畑からは、芳醇かつ複雑な味わいのワインが生まれます。1920年、現オーナーであるキュヴリエ家がシャトー・レオヴィル・ポワフェレ(58ヘクタール)およびシャトー・ムーラン・リッシュ(22ヘクタール)の所有権を取得しました。ポワフェレの畑は現在80haに広がっています。しなやかなタンニンをふくみ、若い段階から親しみやすく、サンジュリアン特有のバランスとエレガンスは健在です。 豊かなブーケ、バランスのとれた味わいが評判で特に2019ヴィンテージは華やかな果実味が印象的です。夏が非常に暑く乾燥していた年の特徴を反映し、凝縮した果実味が印象的。口当たりはなめらかで洗練された印象があり、口に含むと多様な果物の香り、味わいが広がります。 CHATEAU LEOVILLE POYFERRE シャトー・レオヴィル・ポワフェレ 生産地：フランス ボルドー サン・ジュリアン 原産地呼称：AOC. Bright red cherry/plum fruit, blood orange, mint, spice and menthol fill out the layers with effortless grace. In some tastings, the 2019 has come across as quite powerful, while in other moments it shows greater finesse. Either way, the 2019 is positively stunning. I very much admire its energy and persistence. Full-bodied, velvety and polished, it's broad and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, ripe tannins and succulent acids, concluding with a long, precise finish. Invariably the most sumptuous of the three Leovilles, featuring some 35% Merlot, the 2019 is a terrific effort that will offer a wide drinking window. With some 80 hectares under vine, Leoville Poyferre's parcels are inter-fingered with those belonging to the Delon and Barton families by the river and on the plateau of Saint-Julien. The soils are cultivated less frequently and less deeply these days, and conversion to organic methods is gradually being rolled out, parcel by parcel, some being easier to farm this way than others. Winemaking features a five- to eight-day cold soak, followed by comparatively long macerations, and maturation is in 80% new oak, with lots destined for new barrels completing their malolactic fermentation in barrel. Combined with an elevated percentage of Merlot in the vineyards (though the tendency here, as elsewhere, is to replant with more Cabernet Sauvignon), this delivers the richest, fleshiest, most flamboyant of the three Leoville estates, but while it's generally the most open out of the gates of the three, that hasn't come at the expense of longevity. 「王のワイン、ワインの王」として愛される、格付け第2級シャトー。 エチケットに堂々と「王のワイン、ワインの王」と記されているとおり、1855年の格付け当時、第一級シャトーに次いで取引価格が高かったのが、グリュオ・ラローズだったというのは有名な話です。「現在でも愛されている第2級格付けのひとつ」と称されています。サン・ジュリアンはポイヤックとマルゴーに挟まれた土地柄、両者の中庸的なスタイルと説明されることが多いですが、そのサン・ジュリアンの美点を余すところなく表現しているのがこのシャトーです。また、第二級シャトーの中で最大級の生産量を誇り、年によって品質にムラがなく、安心して買えるというのも魅力です。 「シャトー・グリュオ・ラローズ」は、ブドウを収穫後、約24～29℃に温度管理された木樽とセメントタンクで20～30日間発酵。果汁を圧搾後、新樽を用いたフレンチオーク樽で約18～24ヵ月間熟成します。凝縮された果実味がたっぷり味わえるのは勿論のこと、熟成するほどに濃密さは増し、タンニンもこなれ、柔かいビロードのような舌触りを楽しめます。 重厚さが特徴的な造りになっており、豊かなタンニンが熟成能力の高さを物語っています。艶やかさよりも、能ある鷹は爪を隠す…的な印象を強く受けるワインかもしれません。 CHATEAU GRUAUD LAROSE シャトー・グリュオ・ラローズ 生産地：フランス ボルドー サン・ジュリアン 原産地呼称：AOC. Red fruit, cedar, leather, tobacco, smoke and dried herbs reveal themselves with some coaxing. Imposing tannins and some slightly rough contours suggest cellaring is a must. What a wine! Towering and vertical in its bearing, the 2019 is a total stunner. There is plenty of Lynch Bages charm, but what distinguishes the 2019 most is its spine of tannin and energy. Time in the glass brings out sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange and pomegranate and mint. The 2019 is a great, great, great Lynch Bages. It reminds me of the epic 1989, but with the youthful grip of this vintage. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's a deep, multidimensional wine built around a chassis of rich, powdery tannins and succulent balancing acids. The last vintage produced in Lynch-Bages old winery, it will be interesting to compare this benchmark wine with subsequent vintages over the coming years.

シャトー・マルゴー、パルメに続く実力を誇る、マルゴーの格付け第2級シャトー。 「シャネル」が手掛ける、 気品と力強さを備えたスタイルが魅力。 マルゴーの2級格付けワインの中でも、近年において目を見張る品質の向上を遂げているシャトーが「ローザン・セグラ」です。1855年の格付け以来、大恐慌や1956年の大寒波などによってシャトーは大打撃を受け、2級格付けには値せず、と言われていた時期もありました。1980年代に入り、新たに経営に着手したジャック・テオ氏によるワイン蔵新設等の醸造改革が始まりました。 1994年にオートクチュールの「シャネル」に買収されてからはさらにクオリティが上昇。格付け第1級に一番近い実力、という評価を受けるようになりました。シャトーの畑は、細かい砂利が深く堆積した区画と石灰が混じった粘土質土壌からなり、区画の地質により密度を変えての栽培しています。 「シャトー・ローザン・セグラ」のブドウ収穫時期は、毎日栽培家が果実の成熟度やタンニン、酸をチェックし、慎重に収穫時期が決められ、2度の厳しい選果を通過した良質のブドウのみが使用されます。醸造は全て、品種毎、区画毎に行われ、熟練の醸造家によって毎年異なる比率でブレンドされます。 深みのあるガーネット色。グラスに注ぐとカシスやブラックベリーなどの果実のアロマに、赤バラの花びらやスミレなどのフローラルなニュアンス。シルキーなタンニンが滑らかな口当たりを凝縮感のある果実味と共に演出。凛とした酸味がワインの印象を引き締め、長い余韻へと続きます。シャネルの美意識が表現された、数値化できない美しさと強さを兼ね備えています。貴婦人のようなフェミニンさと気品の中に秘められている芯の強さが魅力です。 CHATEAU RAUZAN SEGLA シャトー・ローザン・セグラ 生産地：フランス ボルドー マルゴー 原産地呼称：AOC. Picked from September 12 to October 9 and matured in 60% new oak, it has a gorgeous, seductive bouquet of pure blackberry, bilberry, crushed iris petals and just a hint of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and good cohesion and depth. The oak is seamlessly integrated on the finish, which lingers like a temptress. Two samples tasted, the second demonstrating a little more salinity on the aftertaste. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, sweet loamy soil and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and layered, with superb concentration, lively acids and rich, powdery tannins. Perfumed and resonant, this is a profound young Pauillac that bears more of a resemblance to its neighbor Ch?teau Latour than to Pichon Lalande this year. Pichon Baron was one of the great deals of the en primeur campaign, and readers who purchased futures are to be congratulated on their foresight. The numbers speak for themselves: until 2000, Pichon-Longueville Baron produced some 350,000 bottles per year; since 2001, that figure has fallen to 160,000. Managing director Christian Seely's first decision on arriving at the property was to reduce production, focusing the grand vin on Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the deep gravel terraces opposite Ch?teau Latour that have always been the heart of this historic estate and which were the source of the great duo of 1989 and 1990 before being joined by other holdings after a series of acquisitions in the early 1990s. The results speak for themselves in the form of a series of excellent vintages, and things improved further with the construction of a new barrel cellar in 2006, permitting better temperature control and more precision during ?levage. In style, Pichon Baron these days has more in common stylistically with the depth and structure of Latour than it does with the perfumed sensuality of its sibling, Pichon Lalande; and in quality, it's clearly one of contemporary Bordeaux's greatest wines. It's hard to know whether 2010, 2016 or 2019 will emerge as the best Pichon Baron of the decade?and of Seely's tenure up to the time of writing?but what is certain is that the 2019 is a striking wine that any Bordeaux lover would want to have in their cellar. It will spend 18 months in a mix of new and used barrels. Classic Barton notes of cassis, scorched earth, burning embers, new leather, and violets emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, massively concentrated, and structured on the palate, yet it has a beautiful elegance as well as a plushness in its texture. Nevertheless, it's not for those seeking instant gratification and is going to need 10-15 years of bottle age to hit maturity. It reminds me of the 1990 and is a great, great wine in the making. Today, Leoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Leoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago.
